Whole school Forest School- Spring term - week 1

This week in Forest school we had 3 different tasks to carry out. We made some creatures using junk, we made some bird food/bird feeders and we prepared some wood ready to be reused.

We make lollipops for the birds using lard and seeds

We used sand paper to smooth the wood from old pallets

We used the mud kitchen to prepare the bird food

"Look , I made this one" Casey

"Look, that pigeon is eating my Lollipop"

" I can use a screw driver to remove the old screws"

Some children were able to fix our water pump from Reception.

Hank made a flower

We used a left over pumpkin from Halloween and turned it into a bird feeder

Our naughty squirrel found some seeds in our mud kitchen and started to have lunch!

Billy was helping testing the water pump before reception could use again.

RS Winter Art

This week we decided to collect different objects from the garden and place them in a container with water to see what would happen. We decided to be scientists!

We used all sorts of containers for our research.

We discovered a bird feeder made out of an old pumpkin.

We worked in pairs

We used our Mud kitchen to help us make our experience.

We needed water from the tap

" I like this sound"

"Please take a picture of me"

We help each other.

We also helped move some soil to cover up our bulbs.

Year 3 T - End of term treat and counting 120 sticks!!!

Add caption
Year 3 wanted to have a treat. They asked for fire to keep worm and so they were given the task to collect enough sticks for the fire.

The task was to have 2 teams and each needed 60 sticks. The fastest team would be the winners!

That's 60 sticks....apparently.

It was hard work but it was worth it!
