After a visit from a scientist yesterday, we had to become researchers and find out what sort of bugs we have in our Forest. It was fun!
We had a clip board and a pen to record our findings.
We used a magnifier glass to spot some bugs.
Look under the log!
We ticked all the minibeasts on the list once we found them.
Can you spot a fly on the green leaf?
We found lots of slugs in the lid from the compost bin.
Evie wanted to find a snail
She looked behind the leaves and guess what? she found one.
She name it Molly.
We found a maggot under the log.
Samir's mum was our expert helper.
Cas thought it was a good idea to look in the compost bin. There were lots of fruit flies in there!
We found a secret way.
This is a good spot to find a snail.
We had a snail race!
Some snails were a little bit lazy. They slept the whole time.
